Our fees for individual counselling are £55 per 50 min session.

Relationship counselling is charged at £70 per 50 min session.

​​​

The Walk and Talk service is £45 per 50 min session.

​​​

Specialised therapy sessions for mental health issues i.e. eating disorders are £65 per 50 min session.

 

Sessions for alcohol addiction are £55 per 50 min session, or specialised treatment programmes are from £450.

​​

There is a 10% discount applied for NHS staff, on application.

Lisa Griffin created Avon Counselling to provide therapeutic support to anyone needing professional assistance and guidance with resolving personal problems. She is committed to helping people to talk about their issues, think about their choices and behaviour, and make positive changes to move forward. Her approach to providing therapy is innovative and unique, and certainly not ‘text-book’ counselling.

The aim is to fully engage with her clients and provide the necessary level of service to bring about a successful outcome for them. Lisa prides herself on offering a friendly but high standard of personal service which is tailor-made to the individual. Lisa is a qualified counsellor who is dedicated in providing a safe space in which you can explore your thoughts and feelings, in confidence and without any judgement. Lisa is also an Alcohol Coach-Therapist with a wealth of knowledge in alcohol support services and is passionate about helping people to break free from the confines of alcohol dependency.

Lisa is championing our Walk and Talk service, that provides a little gentle exercise and re-connection with nature, whilst providing a friendly, non-judgemental and confidential counselling service.

Jackie is our Registered Mental Health Nurse and qualified counsellor, and works with clients with all levels of mental health need, as well as Addictions and Relationship therapy.

 

She is dedicated to providing a safe and non-judgemental space in which you can explore your thoughts and feelings in confidence. Jackie also has a wealth of knowledge in supporting people with a range of mental health issues in her role as a Mental Health Nurse mostly within the NHS, where she worked as a Community Psychiatric Nurse with adults of all ages, as well as in more specialist community roles, and did indeed set up and run therapy clinics within the NHS. She is experienced in working with eating disorders, self-harm, depression, anxiety, OCD, addictions, ADHD, ASD, psychosis, and emotionally unstable personality disorder. Jackie is also able to support relatives of people with severe mental health issues. Alongside this, Jackie is passionate about helping people to break free from the confines of alcohol dependency, and other addictions, including smoking cessation.

Having worked as a frontline nurse in the Covid-19 pandemic, Jackie is also able to provide understanding and therapy to healthcare workers that may have developed post-traumatic issues as a result of their work. Jackie is also keen on helping healthcare staff avoid and manage burnout as a result of their work.


As well as having a degree level qualification as a mental health nurse (qualifying in 2011), Jackie has the following qualifications:

  • Smoking Cessation Practitioner (NCSCT) - 2019

  • Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills – 2019

  • Alcohol Certified Coach-Therapist – 2020

  • Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Skills – 2020

  • Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling – 2022

 

Jackie has had training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (for couples), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, working with negative symptoms of psychosis, working with people with personality disorders, Brief Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Behavioural Family Therapy.

Talking and expressing your feelings openly can be difficult and overwhelming. As challenging as it sounds, talking to a counsellor will help you in taking the step towards making the change within you. As a counsellor, Meghana will endeavour to provide you safe space to explore your thoughts in depth allowing you to understand your inner self in a non- judgmental and confidential environment. It is important for the client and the counsellor to build a good relationship to see the effectiveness of counselling.


As a qualified counsellor, Meghana practices integrative counselling using interventions to suit her client’s needs.  We can agree together to see what you want to achieve from counselling. Meghana will support you to explore your feelings, thoughts and why you are feeling in a certain manner.

Meghana offers help in coping with anxiety, anger management, stress, lack of confidence and low self-esteem. Meghana also offers support in domestic abuse, sexual abuse and couple's therapy. Empathy and congruence play a significant role within the counselling relationship.
